Style It Simply, founded by Julina and also known online as Sg Events Decor, is a Singapore wedding and event styling company handling everything from proposal setups to full wedding reception decor. Based at 12 Lorong Bakar Batu, the team works across weddings, solemnisations, proposals, birthdays, and corporate events, with a particular reputation built around proposal styling specifically.
How It Started
Style It Simply began with a single backdrop rental listing on Carousell, posted by founder Julina after she styled her own 21st birthday party from scratch. What started as a one-off DIY project turned into something more: she found she genuinely enjoyed the process of designing and building a styled space, and began helping others do the same. From that first prop listing, the business grew into a full styling service covering design, sourcing, crafting, and complete event setups, with a team now built up around what started as a one-person operation.
Three Ways to Style an Event
Style It Simply offers three distinct ways to work with them, depending on how hands-on a couple wants to be. Style It Yourself gives couples access to their prop rental catalogue to design and set up their own look. Styled For You offers pre-curated, ready-to-replicate sets for couples who'd rather choose from a finished design than build one from scratch. Bespoke Styling is their fully custom, hands-off service, for couples who know the general feeling they're after but want a stylist to turn loose ideas into an actual design and execution plan.
Proposal Styling
With experience across more than 300 proposal setups, Style It Simply has built a wide catalogue of decor styles for popping the question, ranging from minimalist balloon backdrops to more elaborate floral installations. Proposals are one of the more logistically tricky events to style, since they often need to happen at a specific public or semi-public location, sometimes with a tight setup and teardown window before the moment itself, and sometimes with a surprise element that requires coordinating timing carefully with the person planning it. Style It Simply's proposal experience covers both the creative side, choosing a decor style that fits the couple and the location, and the practical side, handling delivery, setup, and breakdown so the person proposing doesn't have to manage logistics on top of an already nerve-wracking moment.
Wedding and Reception Styling
Beyond proposals, Style It Simply also styles full wedding receptions and solemnisation ceremonies, working with couples on everything from backdrops and centrepieces to full-room styling concepts.
